Nature’s Generator launches MyGrid 10k Gen 2 battery backup

Camarillo, California-based backup energy firm Nature’s Generator has launched the MyGrid 10K Gen 2, aiming to both provide backup power and help homeowners cut everyday electricity costs.
Designed for year-round usage, the new energy system differentiates itself from normal generators. While other generator products will normally sit idle until an outage, the MyGrid 10K Gen 2 will allow homeowners to store solar energy or other electricity sources purchased during lower-cost periods, using it when utility rates are at peak hours.
The company says that depending on local utility rates, energy usage, and system settings, the new backup system can help homeowners save on their electricity bills every month.
“We wanted MyGrid 10K Gen 2 to be useful every day, not just when the power goes out,” says Nature’s Generator CEO Lawrence Zhou. “It gives homeowners a simple way to use stored energy, save on electricity when rates are higher, and still have reliable backup power when they need it.”
The system supports residential solar assets, as well as wind projects and traditional AC charging ports. Complete with multiple compatible configurations, the system also supports AC coupling to allow existing solar projects to work alongside it without reinstallation.
Product specs and further use
The MyGrid 10K Gen 2 can deliver up to 10 kW of continuous output, the company says, as well as 20 kW of peak output. Additionally, the system’s LiFePO4 battery storage capabilities have nearly 10.5 kWh of storage.
As households energy needs grow, the newly launched system’s storage can expand to give homeowners more flexibility. Armando Rosales, head of sales at Nature’s Generator, notes that the system’s storage and backup capabilities come as a response to homeowner demands.
“Homeowners want backup power they can count on, especially when they’re running multiple appliances or essential equipment,” he says. “MyGrid 10K Gen 2 gives them the power, fast switchover and expandable storage to handle everyday energy needs and be ready as well when an outage happens.”
The new generator has an automatic transfer capability as well, which can switch compatible loads to backup power in less than 20 milliseconds. Once grid electricity is interrupted due to an outage, the firm’s new system can bring essential household appliances back online nearly instantaneously.
“These capabilities make it suitable for homeowners looking for both backup capacity and faster battery recovery,” company representatives say. “With expandable storage, renewable charging options and whole-home output, MyGrid 10K Gen 2 is designed to provide both everyday energy management and emergency power in one system.”
The Nature’s Generator MyGrid 10K Gen 2 is available for homeowners now, starting at $5,599.99.
