Sol-Ark launches residential solar and storage commissioning app

Inverter and energy storage solutions firm Sol-Ark has launched its MySolArk Installer App, purpose-built for residential solar and storage product commissioning.
The mobile app aims to help professional solar installers commission Sol-Ark’s hybrid inverter systems, as well as configure battery storage, generate commissioning reports, monitor solar installations, and manage multiple projects. Users can do all of this from one streamlined workflow, according to company officials.
“Installers need software that works as hard as they do,” says Devin Bethel, software product manager at Sol-Ark. “The MySolArk Installer App provides a streamlined, mobile-first experience that simplifies commissioning, strengthens project documentation, and helps installation teams manage more projects with greater confidence.”
With a design philosophy revolving around solar installer workflow, the new app aims to guide residential solar commissioning teams through system topology. Additionally, the app walks installation teams through connectivity, hardware validation, battery, and grid interconnection settings.
“Multi-site visibility and shareable commissioning reports help teams deliver more consistent installations, maintain accurate project records, and manage systems beyond commissioning,” Sol-Ark representatives say.
Key features for modern installation crews
The new Sol-Ark app contains a suite of new features for installers looking to streamline their commissioning workflows.
The company says its app contains a multi-site project dashboard as well as its guided commissioning tools. Additionally, the program is able to configure all compatible batteries with one touch, using already predefined settings for Sol-Ark’s storage ecosystem.
The app also contains system monitoring, automatic generation of commissioning reports, and full Sol-Ark Technical Support capabilities. The app also has full time of use configuration capacity, the company says.
“Configure utility rate schedules, peak-shaving settings, and supported grid-charging strategies to optimize system operation and energy savings,” the firm says.
The MySolArk Installer App is available now for download on both iOS and Android smartphones. Developed in the U.S., the app’s data is fully hosted on AWS infrastructure on domestic shores, the company says.
