Solis hybrid and commercial solar inverters now listed in Hawaii

Solar inverters from Solis are now officially listed on the Hawaiian Electric (HECO) Qualified Equipment List — specifically Solis residential high-voltage hybrid inverters (3.8-11.4 kW) and commercial power class inverters (25-60 kW).
“Being listed on the Hawaiian Electric Qualified Equipment List highlights Solis’ dedication to product excellence, regulatory compliance, and grid safety,” said James Qiao, General Manager at Solis US, Canada and Puerto Rico. “Hawaii is a leader in renewable energy adoption, and we are honored to contribute to its clean energy goals with our innovative inverter solutions.”
HECO Qualified Equipment
Hawaiian Electric’s Qualified Equipment List identifies products that meet strict criteria for performing essential Grid Support Utility Interactive (GSUI) functions. These requirements ensure that grid-connected equipment contributes to system reliability and supports a seamless transition to renewable energy. By meeting these standards, Solis inverters enable customers in Hawaii to benefit from efficient, dependable, and compliant renewable energy solutions.
Solis inverters
Solis inverters are designed with advanced technology to optimize solar performance while ensuring seamless integration with utility grids.
Solis now ranks #1 in global residential inverter shipments, as reported in the latest Wood Mackenzie inverter market share report. Solis also continued to rank as the third-largest inverter manufacturer globally in 2023, and they continue to add partners to pair with its hybrid inverters. The S6 Hybrid Energy Storage Inverter (3.8-11.4kW) is now UL 9540 listed with new battery partner Pytes.
Solis also launched two string inverters for the U.S. and Canadian markets in 2024: the 60kW (208V) and the 125kW (480V) models. These new additions only add to Solis’s deep roster of commercial rooftop solar solutions.
The new 60kW and 125kW string inverters complement Solis’s existing range, which spans from 25kW to 125 kW. This extensive portfolio is designed to meet diverse energy needs and includes several key features:
- Fuse-Free Design: Both inverters feature a fuse-free architecture, reducing failure points and enhancing the reliability and longevity of the system.
- Low Start-Up Voltage: The inverters offer one of the lowest start-up voltages in the industry, maximizing energy production.
- Wide Operating Voltage Windows: These inverters support a broad range of operating voltages, accommodating various repowering requirements and ensuring optimal performance.
- Flexibility and Capacity: The 125 kW inverter has up to 10 MPPTs, offering unparalleled flexibility for commercial installations.
