Sinovoltaics sets up U.S. headquarters in Austin, Texas

Sinovoltaics opened its new U.S. headquarters in Austin, Texas. The global provider of quality assurance for solar photovoltaic (PV) and battery energy storage systems (BESS) also opened new offices in Lausanne, Switzerland, to support its clients worldwide.
Austin was selected as the company’s U.S. base because of its central location and Texas’ status as a leader in solar generation, particularly by the state’s recent surge in solar manufacturing facilities incentivized by the Inflation Reduction Act. As noted in Sinovoltaics’ regional supply chain maps, which are updated every quarter, Texas is one of the leading states for solar manufacturing. With its new central location, Sinovoltaics has begun to perform module and BESS quality assurance inspections for its developer clients in Texas and across the United States.
In Europe, Lausanne was chosen for its prominence as a European hub for high-tech and clean tech industries. Sinovoltaics celebrated the inauguration of its new office with Swiss business innovation organization Innovaud. Among the office opening attendees from Sinovoltaics were cofounders Dricus de Rooij and Niclas D. Weimar; David Li, GM, China; Benoit van der Maas, international business development director; and Arthur Claire, director of technology, who will lead the Swiss office. Innovaud’s attendees included Yuliya Blaser, head of investment, and Patrick Barbey, managing director.
“By establishing new offices in Austin and Lausanne, Sinovoltaics is ideally positioned to support the exponential growth of the solar and BESS industries in both North America and Europe,” said Dricus de Rooij, cofounder and CEO of Sinovoltaics. “This expansion allows us to enhance the quality of PV and BESS equipment globally, maintaining our leadership in eliminating product defects and reducing investment risks for our clients.”
Sinovoltaics is a leading innovator in the industry when it comes to 100% quality inspections for solar PV and BESS equipment by employing state-of-the-art technologies and methodologies. Their AI-based SELMA software efficiently inspects every module at the factory for micro-cracks, solder faults, cell breakages, striation rings, and other cell-inherent defects and guarantees that Sinovoltaics’ clients receive defect-free PV modules. Meanwhile BESSential – its latest addition to 100% quality assurance service technologies – features 100% diagnostics on the BESS battery cells and uses advanced battery pack analytics software to inspect every battery pack, identifying defects before leaving the factory.
In addition to these new offices, Sinovoltaics maintains a strong presence at its Hong Kong, mainland China, Vietnam, and Spain, as well as audit and factory inspection teams across key manufacturing hubs including Vietnam, Türkiye, Thailand, China, Malaysia, Cambodia, South Korea, and India.
