Vigilant Energy Management, a Maryland-based company providing comprehensive Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services for PV solar installations, has been selected to provide O&M services for 28+ MW of an unnamed energy company’s Solar Distributed Generation Portfolio in the Mid-Atlantic region, including Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, and the District of Columbia.
This deal means Vigilant will provide O&M services for all existing and new solar systems built by the energy company in the Mid-Atlantic region. Services include 24/7 monitoring and alert notification, preventive maintenance, equipment warranty maintenance and enforcement, inspections, system performance reports, budgets and permitting.
Projects in the Mid-Atlantic include solar installations for universities, public schools, municipalities and commercial buildings.
Vigilant employs a comprehensive, detailed checklist for its solar project inspections, and has the expertise and equipment to provide a high level of data collection and monitoring, as well as solid reporting to ensure maximum system production and project ROI. Additionally, Vigilant has the relationships with manufacturers and the experience with troubleshooting, warranty tracking and preventative maintenance to reduce downtime.
Vigilant also conducts a large portion of the energy company’s third party commissioning needs in this region, as well as in the Northeast and Southeast. This practice has proven time and again to improve system performance and reduce owner maintenance expenditures.
