DCE Solar Eco-Top rooftop mounting system certified to UL 3741

DCE Solar announced that its Eco-Top Roof-Top Mounting Structure has successfully passed the UL 3741 Standard. The UL 3741 certification by Intertek ensures compliance with photovoltaic (PV) hazard control in NEC 2020.
“Passing the UL 3741 certification by Intertek for our Eco-Top Roof-Top solution underscores our dedication to safety, innovation, and efficiency in the solar industry,” stated Bill Taylor, CEO of DCE Solar. “This certification not only validates the quality of our product but also provides our customers with the confidence that they are investing in a top-tier, secure solar solution.”
Eco-Top overview
DCE Solar has been in the rooftop and ground-mount racking game since 2009. DCE Solar’s Eco-Top Roof-Top solution is designed to be roof-friendly and protect the roof membrane while easing installation.
Integrated wire management system creates more workspace, eliminating the need for additional wire management raceways and accessories. North-South rails include a wire support channel for integrated home run wire management and cable support.
The direct racking-to-module frame bolt-through fastening and East-West rail support ensure roof load distribution and structural connectivity, reducing the risk of solar cell microfractures.
The Eco-Top system requires 5x fewer mechanical attachments and ballast blocks, potentially resulting in material and labor savings of $0.03 to $0.06 per watt. Additionally, the UL 3741 certification eliminates the requirement for module-level power electronics (MLPE), saving $0.09 to $0.13 per watt in material and labor costs.
