WATTMORE, Eos Energy announce software and storage agreement
Coloradan energy intelligence technology firm WATTMORE has formed a software and energy storage partnership with Eos Energy Enterprises Inc., the firms announced Aug. 24.
Under the terms of the agreement, Eos will deploy WATTMORE’s Intellect Operate Energy Management System (EMS) and Power Plant Controller (PPC) technologies on select customer projects. Additionally, the company has agreed to support integration of WATTMORE’s energy management platform on its DawnOS and Z3 battery technology.
The terms of the partnership aim to simplify the deployment of battery cells across both firms, offering a fully integrated solution. Jonathan W. Postal, WATTMORE’s founder and CEO, says that combining his firm’s software solutions with Eos products provides a perfect complement.
“Energy storage systems depend on battery technology, controls, and software working together as a single operating environment,” he says. “Our collaboration with Eos brings together complementary capabilities across those layers, creating a stronger foundation for customers.”
WATTMORE’s energy management platform combines both FEOC and Build America, Buy America (BABA) compliance with Intellect Operate software. This provides a pre-integrated controls option for all participating Eos customers and expands that controls ecosystem to envelop Eos Z3 products.
Continuing a fruitful partnership
Having just finished a 3 MW / 12 MWh storage project in Nebraska, WATTMORE and Eos have previously collaborated on a variety of other efforts in the renewable energy space. The newly-inked partnership agreement will take the next step, officials say, as the two intertwine both software and hardware.

The partnership states that the Eos DawnOS system will be able to provide battery-level monitoring capabilities. In return, WATTMORE’s software will manage wider system dispatch, as well as energy optimization, and grid interaction. This will create a “repeatable model, and a simplified path going from project design to deployment.
