Trina Storage rolling out Elementa 2 Elevate in North America
As we wrote in January, 2024 is a big year for Trina Solar in the United States. “The shining example is the new 1.35 million sq ft solar PV manufacturing facility in Wilmer, Texas, expected to be completed later in the year. The company is investing more than $200 million in property and equipment, and it will produce higher power Vertex modules.”
2024 is also big for Trina Storage Solutions. The company is rolling out its Elementa 2 Elevate solution in North America starting in August — a “fully wrapped” 10 MWh cell-to-AC advanced energy storage solution.
Elementa 2 Elevate has a “smart liquid cooling system,” an IP67 pack design, and C5 anti-corrosion coating to enhance power density, safety, and energy efficiency while reducing the Levelized Cost of Storage (LCOS).

A differentiator for Trina Storage in the grid-scale storage market is manufacturing its own battery cell. This vertical integration gives Trina a bit more control over its supply chain, which is big in the North American market.
