Stäubli teams with Jurchen to produce solar eBOS in-line fuses, connectors

At Intersolar Europe in Munich, Stäubli Renewable Energy will showcase its new partnership with Jurchen Technology, using their cable harness manufacturing expertise to develop new advanced contact technology.

Stäubli’s MC4 connector is a name brand in the industry, comprising 540 GW of global PV capacity. Next up for Stäubli is the development and production of further eBOS components such as the in-line fuse MC4-Evo 2 ILF3 and the MC4-Evo 2 Y-splitter branch harness as DC interconnection solutions.

From this partnership, Stäubli will provides fully TÜV certified product solutions based on Jurchen’s proven in-use vulcanization process, which grants a high level of tightness.

The new Stäubli eBOS components will provide low contact resistances, lower leakage currents, and perfect insulation due to the exceptional vulcanization technique used in production. This process uses a specially developed cross-linked material and creates an irreversible chemical bond between the cable sheath and the new inline fuse as well as the new Y-branch connector.

This partnership will also result in short assembly time due to ready-to-use product design with connector assembly.

Both new products in the Stäubli PV eBOS portfolio have officially been tested by a notified body and passed the TÜV Rheinland certification for 1500V. With very short assembly time, less material use, a smaller DC combiner box, this latest Stäubli all-in-one eBOS solution allows for cost savings,

At Intersolar Europe in Munich, from May 11 to 13, Stäubli Renewable Energy is presenting the entire quality eBOS product portfolio.
