Solar farm in Georgia chooses Solectria utility-scale inverters

yaskawa_solectria invertersSolectria – A Yaskawa Company, a leading U.S. PV inverter manufacturer, announced that its SGI 750XTM, utility-scale PV inverters, have been chosen for the 18-MW Glynn Solar Farm in Brunswick, Ga., adjacent to the Golden Isles Airport. This project is one of many in the PV portfolio being built by Entropy Solar Integrators with Solectria inverters, financed through affiliates of Entropy Investment Management.

This project is part of the Georgia Power Advanced Solar Initiative (GPASI), developed by Georgia Power in November 2012. The GPASI is an innovative solar program that was designed to procure 210 MW of solar capacity in the state of Georgia. In July 2013, the Public Service Commission approved an additional 525 MW.

“Entropy Solar Integrators has a strong partnership with Solectria. We have used their inverters in multiple utility-scale projects. Solectria has responsive support and customer service and the ability to supply high-quality inverters and competitive pricing that is essential for the continued deployment of low cost solar energy in the United States,” said Clay Hartman, COO of Entropy Solar Integrators, LLC.

Solectria’s SGI 750XTM will be on display at Solar Power International in Anaheim, California next week. Stop Solectria’s booth (#2320) and then check out everyone else in our product preview. Pack some snacks. It will take awhile.
