2022 was a challenging year for the solar industry, but projects large and small were still constructed, installed and commissioned in near record numbers. And now it’s time to pick your favorites among the best!
The voting is set for the 2022 Solar Builder Project of the Year Awards, sponsored by EagleView Technologies. Featuring 27 projects across six categories (C&I rooftop, C&I ground-mount, Community, Residential, Microgrid, Utility-Scale), this year’s field was curated by our editorial team from over 50 submissions.
Below you’ll find the pages for each category. After you submit a vote, you can navigate to the other categories from the submission confirmation page. You are allowed to vote once per day from now until Friday Oct. 14 at midnight (EDT) (FYI: Our voting widget will let you vote more than once a day, but we filter these out in the back-end. Sorry, ballot stuffers). Winners will be announced and prominently featured in the Q4 issue of Solar Builder magazine and online in December.
We also have an option on the form to opt-in to a Solar Builder magazine subscription. Our magazine (print and digital) 1) includes our best, exclusive editorial each quarter, and 2) is free. Pretty great deal.
While you’re at it, get to know our POY Sponsor EagleView. Accurate data, virtual site assessments, and installation-ready designs will optimize your solar sales funnel and operations. You can learn more in this EagleView special report Breaking Down and Through Soft Costs.
Voting has concluded. Winners announced online in December and in our Q4 magazine. Subscribe here.
Have you checked out our YouTube page?
We have a ton video interviews and additional content on our YouTube page. Recently we debuted Power Forward! -- a collaboration with BayWa r.e. to discuss higher level industry topics as well as best practices / trends for running a solar business today.
Our longer running side project is The Pitch -- in which we have awkward discussions with solar manufacturers and suppliers about their new technology and ideas so that you don't have to. We discuss everything from residential rail-less deck attaching and home solar financing to large-scale energy storage value stacking and utility-driven new home solar + storage microgrids.
