“ETC addresses every link in the clean energy value chain, from developers and suppliers to service providers, all united in driving the future of wind, solar, energy storage and grid modernization,” said Vittoria Bellissimo, CanREA’s President and CEO. “This year, we’re zeroing in on clean electricity as a strategic advantage for Canada’s economy, highlighting how our sector is rolling up its sleeves and accelerating project development from coast to coast.”

The conference portion of Electricity Transformation Canada (ETC) 2025 will offer a comprehensive look at the political, regulatory, and market forces shaping Canada’s clean energy future. Attendees will explore how Canada’s electricity systems are evolving to meet the demands of increased energy consumption, and how energy storage systems will play a key role in establishing a resilient clean energy grid.

“The expansion of the clean energy industry throughout Canada has accelerated over the past few years,” said Stephen Miner, President and CEO of RE+ Events. “Our goal with Electricity Transformation Canada is to link businesses to the growing number of opportunities in the Canadian clean energy market. Together with CanREA, we’ve built a premier platform to advance this effort.”

New in 2025: Live Installation Demos on the Show Floor

ETC is expanding the show’s focus on solar installation with an all new Installer Demo at the ETC Training Facility. The Installer Demo this year is sponsored by Polar Racking, a North American leader in solar mounting solutions.

Held throughout the ETC event, Polar’s two-day hands-on demo experience will provide solar installers, EPCs, and renewable energy professionals with live product training and expert-led technical discussions. All demo participants must be wearing PPE to access the installation area (Polar Racking will be providing some PPE on site).

“We’re excited to connect directly with the installer community through hands-on demonstrations and knowledge-sharing sessions,” said Mathieu Crevier, Director of Sales at Polar Racking. “Whether you’re working on flat terrain or complex landscapes, our CORE and SOL-X systems are designed to simplify installation and enhance long-term project performance.”

Guided by Polar’s engineering and field services teams, installers will take part in live fixed racking and single axis tracker installations. Demonstrations will highlight efficient product assembly, time-saving installation techniques, and product performance features including terrain adaptability.
Attendees will get hands-on with Polar Racking’s flagship systems:

Polar Racking CORE FLEX

CORE FLEX Fixed Tilt | The Polar Racking CORE FLEX Ground Mount System is ideal for small and medium sized projects up to 1 MW. CORE allows for reduced civil costs and faster installation time through a high degree of adjustability. It has greater assembly tolerances, and top down or direct bolt clamping options. Available in single or dual-post configurations.

SOL-X

SOL-X Single Axis Tracker | The Polar Racking SOL-X Tracker features robust construction and an adaptable design, rendering it suitable for various terrains and environmental conditions. Lots of pre-assembly helps save on labor. Utilizes 25% less steel than a standard torque-tube tracker design. The design helps eliminate stress on the modules in that there is no cumulative torsion build-up along the length of the array. Available with either a self-powered battery or a DC connection, the array can withstand wind speeds up to 150 mph.

Installer Demo Times:

  • Tuesday, October 7: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM & 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM
  • Wednesday, October 8: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM & 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM

Technical Training & Innovation Stage Sessions

In addition to the demo event, Polar Racking will lead two technical sessions as part of the ETC Toronto Innovation Stage series:

Session 1: Getting on Track | Understanding Solar Racking Systems and the Role of Single-Axis Trackers in Today’s Market | Tuesday, October 7, 2025 | 10:30 AM – 11:00 AM (ET) | Halls B & C

Session 2: Powering Canada with Homegrown Innovation: The Future of Local Manufacturing in the Energy Sector | Tuesday, October 7, 2025 | 4:30 PM – 5:00 PM (ET) | Halls B & C
