Sungrow supplied central inverters totaling 18 MW in Japan in December
The Japanese PV inverter market is traditionally dominated by domestic PV inverter manufacturers, partly because of stringent requirements and very high standards, which have only been met by a select group of overseas manufacturers. The central power plant takes a large proportion of space in spite of the scarcity of land available for solar plant in Japan.
Having entered into the Japanese market in 2014, Sungrow Japan now has a team of professionals capable of offering sales/after-sales services and technology supports at a national scale. In December 2016, just within two plants in the area served by Kansai Electric Power and Chubu Electric Power, Sungrow supplied central inverters totaling 18 MW.
The product used was Sungrow’s containerized SG2000 central inverter because its compact design makes it is easy to deploy and install and only occupies 8 square meters.
“We are committed to continued technical innovation of solar inverters for our Japanese partners, and hope to continue being a technology leader for the solar industry.” said Professor Renxian Cao, President of Sungrow.
