Quality solar installers need to band together now more than ever. Green Rack Solar, a residential solar provider in Western Pennsylvania and Eastern Ohio (and a Civic Renewables company), is now a proud member of the Amicus Solar Cooperative.

“Joining Amicus enables us to continue doing what we do best—providing top-tier customer service and reliable solar installations—while learning from and contributing to a network of of local solar businesses across the country,” said Eben Needham, Founder of Green Rack Solar. “We’re committed to delivering value and quality for our customers and partnering with Amicus is an exciting step forward.”

Amicus Solar Cooperative

Joining the Amicus Solar Cooperative is a feat, and one worth pursuing for quality solar installation companies. Amicus is a 100% member owned cooperative of more than 80 local solar businesses with excellent reputations and extensive experience operating in their community.

“Initially, we focused on leveraging our collective purchasing power to reduce our costs on solar panels and other equipment,” the Amicus team notes on their website. “However, as the cooperative grew, so did its purpose. Today, Amicus is not just about purchasing; it’s about sharing best practices, advocating for fair federal and state policies, and building a community of like-minded businesses dedicated to making a positive impact.”

Green Rack Solar

Green Rack Solar is part of Civic Renewables, a national platform launched in 2024 by solar industry veterans, with financial backing from GEF Capital, to empower local solar businesses with the tools, scale, and resources to thrive. Civic Renewables launched with two great local solar installation businesses — Green Rack Solar and Ipsun Solar.

This acceptance from Amicus is a stamp of approval for Civic Renewables and Green Rack are building.

““We’re thrilled to welcome Green Rack Solar to the Amicus Solar Cooperative. Their commitment to quality, community, and customer service reflects the very best of what it means to be an Amicus member. We look forward to learning from and growing with their team,” said Stephen Irvin, Co-Founder, President & CEO, Amicus Solar Cooperative.
