Fronius USA hires head of solution management at new San Fran office
String inverter manufacturer Fronius sent word that Michael Mendik is now heading the Fronius Solution Management USA, based in Fronius’ recently opened South San Francisco office.
What is the Solution Management division?
The Fronius USA Solution Management focuses on specific products and solutions for U.S. solar customers and includes Product Management, Product Lifecycle Support, Codes & Standards, Services as well as Software Development. Based in the Bay Area, the team works closely with customers to develop future products and solutions and taps into the innovative spirit of the Silicon Valley.
The recently opened office in South San Francisco shows Fronius’ strong commitment to the US market, which has become the single biggest and most important global market for Fronius. “We are proud of our dedicated US team and Michael will fit in perfectly,” says Tristan Kreager, Director of Solar Energy at Fronius USA. “His background and experience will be great assets to Fronius. Customers will profit from innovative solutions that perfectly meet their needs.”
Mendik’s background
For the last three years, Michael Mendik was working for SMA America as General Manager Technology. He grew their technology organization for North America and drove the development of products for the residential, commercial, storage and utility scale segments. Before that, Michael was General Manager for ABB and gained extensive experience in Product Management and Business Development.
Michael Mendik has a MBA in General Management from Robert Morris University (Pittsburgh, PA), and a Doctorate in Physics from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich.
