Baltimore-based commercial solar construction firm Solar Gaines announced two strategic new hires to bolster the company’s leadership team. With a combined industry expertise of more than 25 years, Genevieve Gravina, Director of Business Development and Daniela Schneider, Director of Procurement, will enhance Solar Gaines’ capabilities and position the company for sustained success within the solar industry and across its expanding Mid-Atlantic footprint.

Genevieve Gravina, Director of Business Development

As Director of Business Development, Genevieve will spearhead efforts to drive business development, enhance client relationships and capitalize on existing capabilities while forging new opportunities for innovation and growth. She will play a critical role in securing high-value engineering, procurement and construction partnerships with leading commercial solar developers and commercial and industrial business owners. Her efforts will be instrumental in strengthening the company’s competitive advantage, ensuring long-term success and deepening its market impact across the Mid-Atlantic region.

Genevieve brings to Solar Gaines more than 20 years of experience in consultative sales and business development. With a deep passion for clean energy and customer experience, she has built a career dedicated to driving growth of the solar industry. For the past 11 years, she has been in the solar industry most recently as Senior Director of Commercial Sales at Omnidian, where she played a pivotal role in developing long-term partnerships and expanding the company’s managed solar portfolios. Prior to her time at Omnidian, Genevieve spent nearly eight years with BayWa r.e. Solar Systems, managing business to business solar equipment sales across multiple territories.

Daniela Schneider, Director of Procurement

As Director of Procurement, Daniela will lead the firm’s procurement process, creating new partnerships with vendors and manufacturers and maintaining current ones. She will also strategically source and secure all materials and services essential for the successful execution of projects. Throughout the construction phase, she will oversee budget and cost management, ensuring optimal resource allocation and maintaining strict control over project expenses. Daniela will spearhead the logistics of material delivery, ensuring seamless coordination and timely arrival of critical supplies. She will work closely with internal teams to ensure projects are completed efficiently, on time and with exceptional results.

Daniela is a dynamic leader with a proven track record of success. As the first employee at Energix Renewable Energies, she was instrumental in the company’s growth from a small startup to a thriving enterprise while assuming various responsibilities. She played a key role in establishing partnerships with tier one vendors and manufacturers while supporting and negotiating large volume agreements with companies like First Solar, TMEIC, SMA, PV Hardware and many others. She also worked with major utilities including Dominion, First Energy, AEP, and PJM. Prior to joining Energix, Daniela gained valuable experience in the capital management and financial sector.
