Solis introduces new hybrid inverters for residential, commercial projects with 200% oversizing
The new Solis LV Residential Hybrid (9.6–16 kW) and Commercial Hybrid (30–60 kW) models offer 200% oversizing, parallel operation, and integrated backup design for scalable solar + storage systems

Ginlong (Solis) Technologies is broadening its hybrid inverter lineup to serve both sides of the growing solar + storage market. The inverter manufacturer introduced two new hybrid solutions this fall — the Solis LV Residential Hybrid (9.6–16 kW) and the Solis Commercial Hybrid (30–60 kW) — built to provide installers and system owners with greater control, resilience, and scalability in backup and microgrid applications.
The launch marks Solis’s next step in addressing whole-home backup for residential customers and flexible storage integration for commercial facilities. Both inverters are now certified for the U.S. and Canadian markets.
“The LV and Commercial Hybrid inverters mark an important step in our mission to provide customers with complete energy independence,” said James Qiao, General Manager of Solis US & Canada. “Whether it’s powering an entire home during outages or enabling large-scale businesses to maximize flexibility, Solis continues to lead with reliable and easy-to-integrate hybrid solutions.”
Solis LV at a glance
For homeowners, the LV Residential Hybrid inverter is designed to manage entire-home loads with minimal external hardware. The system includes an integrated 200A passthrough and automatic bypass for seamless transitions during grid outages, along with a high 20A input current that supports larger, high-output modules.
The unit’s DC side can manage up to 290A of charge and discharge current, enabling the battery to store more PV-generated surplus energy while maintaining peak efficiency of 98%.
The 48V hybrid inverter can operate on-grid, off-grid, or as a standalone microgrid controller, giving installers flexibility across retrofit and new-build projects.
On the commercial side, the S6-EH3P(30–60)K-NV-YD-H-US inverter introduces higher power density and system adaptability. Businesses can connect up to six inverters in parallel for multi-building or expanded-site applications, reaching a total of 360 kW.
Each unit supports up to 200% PV oversizing (166% for 60 kW models), accommodates high input currents up to 40A, and maintains 160% overload capacity for stability during grid events or transitions.
Other key design features include dual-input architecture for easy expansion, open battery compatibility across 100–280Ah modules, and generator connection support from 10–50 kW. Together, these enable smooth integration with backup generators, batteries, and PV arrays of varying scale.
More from Solis: TÜV Rheinland certification
At RE+ 2025, Solis also announced that its sixth-generation three-phase hybrid inverter series (30–60 kW) passed testing and evaluation by TÜV Rheinland, earning the cTUVus Mark certification. The verification confirms compliance with U.S. and Canadian safety and quality standards, supporting Solis’s growth in the commercial storage sector.
The certification covers model S6-EH3P(30-60)K04-NV-YD-H-US, and reflects the company’s continued push for third-party validation in domestic markets.
With broad battery compatibility, high string current handling, and integrated control functions, Solis’s sixth-generation platform positions the company to compete directly in large commercial and small-utility hybrid projects — especially as more customers pursue storage systems that deliver both savings and backup power.
