Sunlight Financial joins Residential Solar Association
Point-of-sale solar finance company Sunlight Financial Holdings announced its new status as a Visionary Member of the Residential Solar Association (RSA). The Sunlight team says they are joining the RSA to show their “commitment to fostering sustainable and ethical practices within the residential solar industry.”
“By aligning with RSA, we are poised to drive significant advancements in solar adoption through advocacy, education, and consumer protection,” said Timothy Parsons, CEO of Sunlight Financial. “We share RSA’s vision of creating and supporting a sustainable and consumer-focused industry. As part of our commitment, we are excited to contribute to the solar technology, sales, installation, and environmental policy committees. We believe this partnership will enhance our ability to provide comprehensive solar financing solutions that benefit homeowners and solar installers alike.”
The Residential Solar Association (RSA) is a nonprofit organization composed of business owners, leaders, and advocates from all sectors of the residential solar industry. The RSA aims to drive the solar industry toward sustainable growth via 1) policy advocacy regarding net metering, consumer protection, and industry standards, 2) education of solar industry professionals and policymakers, and 3) industry collaboration.
“We welcome Sunlight Financial to our community,” said Mark Bench, an RSA board member. “Their expertise in solar financing and shared commitment to industry excellence will significantly contribute to our collective efforts. Together, we will continue to empower industry professionals and consumers, ensuring a sustainable future.”
With over $10 billion in funded loans, Sunlight Financial has facilitated the installation of more than 250,000 residential solar systems nationwide. It has been estimated that these systems collectively have prevented the emission of over 30 million metric tons of CO2 and produced more than 50 billion kWh of clean energy, significantly contributing to the reduction of fossil fuel-based energy.
