Signature Solar launches new installation company, eyes expansion

Texan solar firm Signature Solar has announced the launch of Sun Atlas Power, a new solar installation company set on designing “transparent, streamlined solar installation services,” the firm said Feb. 2.
The new installation company extends Signature Solar’s capabilities with customized and DIY solar solution options into full installation, the firm says. And keeping the entire installation process, from design to permitting, to installation, under the Signature Solar roof removes the customer headache of working with multiple vendors, according to Brian Pascoe, the president of both companies.
“Signature Solar has always believed energy independence should be accessible and built on trust,” Pascoe says. “Sun Atlas Power is a natural extension of that belief. We saw an opportunity to bring clarity and transparency to the installation side of the industry and give customers a partner they can rely on from day one through long-term support.”
Pascoe adds that customers can also self-size their solar and battery system in minutes during the design phase thanks to BriteBuild, Signature’s self-service design tool. Potential customers can also work with the Sun Atlas team through an “expert-guided design process,” depending on their budget and needs.

Expanding Sun Atlas nationwide
Sun Atlas Power currently serves five states, mostly across the American Midwest and South, and further licensing is underway as of February 2026. The company says it has plans for Sun Atlas to expand into up to 31 states by the middle of 2026.
“Sun Atlas Power was created because the solar industry has made going solar far more complicated than it needs to be,” says Steve Pope, director of operations at Sun Atlas Power. “We believe clear pricing and a no-pressure approach should be the standard, and we built our operations around giving customers straightforward answers and predictable outcomes from day one.”
The new company launch “reflects Signature Solar’s continued investment in expanding access to reliable, customer-focused solar solutions,” according to the company. The companies also support long-term solar system support within their own ecosystem, bolstering the idea that customers can use Signature as a one-stop shop.
Signature Solar officials say the new corporate entity plans to grow throughout the near-term future to expand nationwide, allowing homeowners and business operators even more options when it comes to renewable energy.
Sun Atlas Power is open for inquiries in Arkansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Texas, and Utah as of Feb. 2, officials say.
