ChemiTek brings PV panel cleaning, coating products to North America via Sunbrush USA
ChemiTek, a Portuguese chemical company that specializes in cleaning and anti-soiling coatings for PV solar panels officially entered the U.S. market this September, in partnership with Sunbrush USA.
The entry into the United States., one of the most mature solar markets, was a natural step for the company, now in 35 countries. The partnership with Sunbrush USA started being discussed during the Intersolar München. In September, Sunbrush USA became the ChemiTek’s exclusive importer to the US, and a network of distributors is already being established.
At Intersolar München, ChemiTek also introduced a new range of products for the solar industry: specifically developed removal agents for different types of contaminants (e.g. cement dust, rust, hard water stains, limescale deposits, lichens, bird droppings, dust, etc.) and anti-soiling coatings to protect and mitigate soiling from the panels.
The company has been growing over the past years, supported by the investments received from its shareholders Portugal Ventures, EDP, Ganexa, Brain Capital, SERVICE TV, SBS, and Statusmanuever.
Their growth is noticeable in different markets and continents, such as South Africa and the United Kingdom. The South African branch of Krannich, one of the biggest solar shops in the World, also became the exclusive importer of ChemiTek’s range. In the UK and Ireland, Solar Clean Robotics, is now the exclusive distributor. The company now represents two references in the market: ChemiTek and Solarcleano.
ChemiTek ensures all of its products are certified by international laboratories such as TÜV Sud. Their main product, Solar Wash Protect also has conformity letters from 12 of the 15 biggest Tier 1 manufacturers of solar panels (TRINA, GCL, LONGI, JINKO, etc.) stating that their products follow their guidelines and therefore do not void the warranty of the panels.
“The growth of the industry and the maturing of ChemiTek as a company, supported by the investments, the Intersolar trade show and the new range of products, has enabled us to become a reference within the solar maintenance industry,” stated César Martins, CEO and founder of ChemiTek.
