Strata Solar Completes 6.4-MW Addition to NC Solar Farm
North Carolina-based Strata Solar and JinkoSolar announced the addition of a 6.4-MW solar farm to Robeson County. The Watts solar farm is shining addition to Strata Solar’s “southern cluster” of solar power farms in North Carolina.
Robeson County is home to a growing group of 6.4-MW solar farms developed by leading solar power company, Strata Solar. 125 local employees have been hired for construction, installation and crew lead roles for the six solar farms in Strata’s “southern cluster.”
“Watts farm is another strong example of how sustainability has transformed into a mainstream, economic force across the state,” said Markus Wilhelm, CEO of Strata Solar. “Strata Solar and JinkoSolar worked together to bring employment growth, environmental responsibility and a wealth of clean energy to North Carolina through this new energy plant.”
Approximately 20,654 JinkoSolar 240-watt poly panels have been installed on the 50-arce solar farm. JinkoSolar is a leading global solar power product manufacturer and its panels will transfer energy through the grid and generate electricity equivalent to power 600 North Carolina homes.
