REFUsol, Ampt Partner on Increasing Solar Inverter Output for Cheaper
REFUsol Inc., a manufacturer of solar inverters, announced a partnership with Ampt to provide commercial and utility-scale inverters that lower photovoltaic (PV) system costs and maximize inverter output power to reduce the levelized cost of energy (LCOE). REFUsol’s inverters, used in conjunction with Ampt Power Converters functioning in Ampt Mode, will work at a higher efficiency and can deliver higher rated output power and dissipate less power per kilowatt. This will result in a lower cost, higher-efficiency solution for customers using the inverters.
“Our REFUsol-Ampt partnership has made possible a unique technology offering that helps us pursue our mission to promote energy transformation and make solar energy economical,” said Ben Driver, CEO at REFUsol Inc.
System integrators using REFUsol inverters and Ampt converters in Ampt Mode benefit from significantly reduced PV system costs. This is achievable due to lower DC balance of system (BOS) cost combined with the ability to maximize power generation from every solar module.
“We are excited to partner with a distinguished company like REFUsol, which has long been recognized for its innovation in the solar industry,” said Levent Gun, CEO at Ampt. “REFUsol’s technological advancements will continue on with our combined solution, which enables system integrators to deliver the most cost-effective and highest performing PV systems.”
