GRID Alternatives to host clean energy job fair at RE+ Las Vegas on September 10
Free event at The Venetian Expo connects diverse job seekers with top solar and renewable energy employers
More than solar technology will be on display at RE+ Las Vegas this year. On Wednesday, September 10, 2025, GRID Alternatives, in partnership with WRISE, SEIA, SEPA, and RE+, will host the Clean Energy Job Fair at The Venetian Expo from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The free event is open to the public and designed to connect motivated job seekers with employers hiring across the solar and renewable energy industries.
A direct path to solar careers
Job fairs are not always built into trade shows, but GRID’s approach puts workforce development at the center of the largest solar event in North America. Candidates will be able to meet face-to-face with local and national employers, share resumes, and learn about career opportunities across installation, project management, engineering, and adjacent clean energy roles.
Attendees will also receive free access to the RE+ Expo hall following the fair, which features the latest solar, storage, and electrification technologies.
Why workforce development matters
The U.S. solar workforce has doubled in size over the last decade, but labor shortages remain one of the sector’s biggest bottlenecks. GRID Alternatives has made workforce training a core part of its nonprofit mission. Its Installation Basics Training (IBT) program has provided entry-level skills in solar installation, OSHA 10 standards, CPR, and job readiness to thousands of participants.
Since its founding, GRID has installed PV systems on more than 29,500 homes and affordable housing developments while training more than 33,000 individuals in solar and related fields. Its programs aim to make clean energy careers more accessible to people from diverse backgrounds and communities that have been historically underrepresented in the industry.
By organizing a job fair alongside RE+, GRID is amplifying that mission on a national stage.
