Eaton Launches One-Stop BOS Power Center for Residential and Light Commercial
Power management company Eaton today announced the launch of solar power centers for residential and light commercial applications. The offering, which includes loadcenters and meter breakers, combines utility and solar photovoltaic (PV) power into one enclosure, providing one-stop-shopping for balance of system (BOS) equipment, and making PV systems more accessible, sustainable and cost-effective.
The solar power centers feature factory installed permanent markings, which help to ensure National Electrical Code (NEC) compliance. These markings, which are required by the NEC, make the identification of product ratings and the location of the parallel energy source disconnect quick and simple.
“The solar industry is rapidly growing, thanks to the leadership of solar integrators, contractors and homebuilders,” said Joanne Edwards, senior vice president and general manager, Residential & Wiring Device Division, Eaton. “Expanding upon Eaton’s wide range of solar solutions, the innovative new solar power centers make PV systems more accessible, sustainable and cost-effective for homeowners.”
The units are available in a wide variety of configurations, and each package will be customized to the unique needs and physical dimensions of each home.
