If you are interested in becoming certified in NABCEP’s new Energy Storage Installation Professional (ESIP) Board Certification but want to try a practice version of the test first, the NABCEP team says it is now available.

The duration of the ESIP Practice Exam is 240 minutes and from the time of initial access, there is a 48-hour window to complete the four-hour practice exam.

As for the non-practice ESIP exam, NABCEP says …

“We are still accepting applications to qualify. The first 200 approved applicants for our ESIP exam to have the opportunity to take it for free (a $375 savings). So when you finish your practice test, be sure to apply for the real thing.”

Before you apply for the non-practice ESIP exam, be sure to view the eligibility requirements to ensure that you are eligible.

The North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP) is a volunteer board of renewable energy stakeholder representatives that includes representatives of the solar industry, NABCEP certificants, renewable energy organizations, state policy makers, educational institutions, and the trades. Each member of the board was chosen because of his or her experience and involvement in the solar energy industry. NABCEP’s mission – to support, and work with, the renewable energy and energy efficiency industries, professionals, and stakeholders – is intended to develop and implement quality credentialing and certification programs for practitioners.
