Get to know Solvari SR: All-in-one solar panel is now UL 2703 certified

Solvari is an Austin, Texas solar equipment manufacturer, that wants to disrupt residential solar with a pre-engineered solar panel that comes equipped with everything pre-attached and ready to install. And after years of testing and piloting, things can really get rolling: The Solvari SR has passed UL/CSA 61730 and UL 2703 certification testing and is now fully ready for AHJ approval throughout North America.
“After several years of intense development, passing certification was the final milestone required to bring this groundbreaking technology to market,” says Samuel Truthseeker, Founder and CEO. “Early adopters of Solvari SR have proven that our all-in-one residential solar panel is extremely fast and easy to install, and transformational to their organization.”
And rolling, they are: Solavari has secured its largest purchase order to date. This $1M order is for their newest 410W Solvari SR solar panels along with their monitoring gateways and pre-stuffed rooftop junction boxes.
Solvari SR at a glance
The Solvari SR is a single SKU with the power electronics, string cabling, wire management, roof mounts, anchor screws, and flashing tape already installed. “Just lift it to the roof and screw it down with a single tool,” the company says.
Solvari SR is configured to order as an AC module with microinverter or a DC module with rapid shutdown. Both versions come with a 25-year bumper-to-bumper warranty to protect installers and end users for the life of the product.
“This PO marks a significant milestone for our organization, and we believe shows that our solution provides real value in the market by addressing not only hurdles to growth but the pain points to market entry,” Truthseeker says.
Solvari testing
Beyond certification testing, Solvari has partnered with the National Renewable Energy Laboratories (NREL) to conduct extensive accelerated life testing on its materials to ensure 25-year performance no matter where in North America they are installed. In addition, Solvari conducted extensive in-house testing including additional mechanical load testing which exceeded cert loads by 80%, and thousands of hours of waterproof testing to prove leak free service no matter where on the roof it is installed.
Solvari’s future
Solvari is currently raising capital through equity crowdfunding on the StartEngine platform to keep their momentum going. The company has also added Mitch Bowman to its executive team in January. With 17 years of experience in the solar industry, he brings a wealth of expertise, including structuring a successful $1B IPO for FTC Solar where he was the Vice President of Business Operations.
“I believe a product like Solvari SR can be successful because it removes procurement and skilled labor challenges, which will help to lower the cost to deploy residential solar and unlock bottlenecks to revenue growth and profitability,” says Bowman. “Residential solar is difficult, and an installer’s revenue and profitability suffer when multiple jobsite visits are required due to missing parts, long installation times, poor installation quality, failed inspections, commissioning issues, and labor shortages. I see Solvari’s solution as the best option to mitigate these issues and reduce installer risks so they can realize predictable income and grow their business while also reducing cost to the homeowner.”
